Epiphany of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church
had its 25th Annual Slavic American Festival on Sunday, September 12, 1999, from noon until 7
p.m.
As always, there
were lots of Slavic foods to eat, cooked by the ladies and gentlemen of the
parish - holupki, kolbasi, halushki, pirohi, balumki, and potato pancakes
- as well as hot dogs, snow cones, ice cream, and beverages.
There was also a bake sale featuring Ephipany's famous nut rolls, and other home-made breads,
cakes, cookies and pastries.
Inside our parish hall, you could find religious and folk art, hand make Ukrainian arts and crafts, and Church related
books and tapes. The Slava Gallery was also presenting a display of authentic icons, dating from the 16th to the
19th centuries.
Tours of the churches were also available, and the Slava Men's Chorus sang
a concert of liturgical music inside the church.
