Each year for the last 65 years, the Sisters of St. Basil have put on their four day annual pilgrimage over Labor Day weekend.  People from all over the United States come to this event in a small town in the mountains in Southwestern Pennsylvania.  It is one of the largest gatherings of Byzantine Catholics in this country.

People who come to this event, are from a variety of backgrounds.  Many are Byzantine Catholics, but you can often find Roman Catholics and Orthodox in attendance.  Some have even been to all the pilgrimages over the years, while others are coming for the first time.  Parents often bring their whole families, including their children.

People who do make this trip, are in store for a full weekend of spiritual exercises.  Processions, Liturgies, Matins, Vespers, and Molebens are all a part of the schedule.  Confessions are going on almost continually, while others are praying at the shrines scattered through the huge property.  And of course there is great food!

On this page, you can find some of the pictures from the 1999 Pilgrimage.  Please use the menu to the right, to navigate the picture pages.
