Directions to St. Mary's

We are located along Route 65 some 18 miles north of Pittsburgh along the shore of the Ohio River. Driving north out of Pittsburgh, continue past Sewickley until you come to the Ambridge True Value Hardware store on your right. At the back end of this store, make a right turn and then almost immediately drive into the large parking lot on your left. That is our church parking lot and our church is immediately visible.

Driving south on Route 65, go under the Ambridge-Aliquippa Bridge and get into the left turn lane at the stoplight. Make the left turn and almost immediately make a right turn in front of the Lutheran Church and we are in the next block, just beyond the stop sign, with our church on the left and our parking lot on the right of Park Road.

Sacrament of the Eucharist

The Sacrament of the Eucharist is celebrated on Saturday evening at 6:30 P.M. and it is offered again on Sunday morning at 9:30 A.M. On holy days of obligation, we receive the Eucharist at 7:30 P.M. on the evening before and at 9:00 A.M. on the day.

We are biblically oriented and our pastor is now leading us through the Acts of the Apostles. Our pews are equipped with Bibles. The scripture readings are posted for each Sunday. During Lent we have a Bible study program.

The rosary is recited every Sunday at 9:00 A.M. We have an Activities Ministry that schedules parish social affairs, a Pastoral Affairs Ministry that visits those who are restricted for reasons of health at home and in personal care homes. Lectors make the announcements and lead the congregants in some parts of the Eucharistic celebration and read the epistle text.

Pirohy Sales and Parish Awards

The sale of pirohy is our fund-raising project and our motto is: “Our pirohy are made with love.” This project goes back to the origin of our church. In 1996 and again in 1999, the Readers’ Choice Awards sponsored by the Beaver County Times newspaper named our pirohy as the First Place Winner in a countywide vote. Cil Cirka directs our pirohy sales project.

In 1999 too, we received a tie vote for Honorable Mention as one of the three Best Churches in Beaver County in the same countywide vote.
